A Way To A Woman's Heart?

Is there a sure fire way to a woman's heart? A way to get past the exterior whatever it looks like and whatever scars it may hide or show and get to the life within? Well I did a very small poll here and determined there is no sure fire way.

Sorry there isn't but getting to know and taking notes is good way to go. For example Andrew. Granted he was toxic but he did win himself some serious brownie points early on by recognizing that the way to my heart is grammar, good sentence structure and literature. We drew each other for the office secret Santa and shortly there after Andrew asked if I had ever read Stephen King, of course any English devotee worth their Margaret Atwood would say NO, as did I. Well what did I get? A Stephen King novel, or so I thought actually it was the dust jacket over another book... He knew he'd make me mad and laugh all at the same time.

1. Books - knowledge, education are the way to this over educated woman's heart. I may not have the best syntax, use of punctuation but I try - effort will get you far. Being educated even farther. About anything from sciences - physics, calculus, ATP or cell reproduction to history and of course English - Roy, Kureshi, Rushdie, Woolf, Atwood etc...

2. Guitar and song - Saying this brings us back to a heated discussion we had last spring after the Fray concert - but I've got to say talent makes me weak.

3. Cook - I don't pander to the patriarchal for very long - I may get to your heart in the beginning with cupcakes but don't think the culinary gravy train keeps coming around and around. Even better if you take an interest in veganism - so save the meat jokes for someone else

4. Socially conscious - VOTE, know your government, policies, your environment, where your food comes from etc

5. Support - spiritually and emotionally - the strong, persistent silent type - charismatic and superficial faith spurned on by the emotionally driven doctrine of the Religious Right and Christian media is not the kind of faith I'm looking for. Strong silent type who knows when and where to have fun and be social.

yeah that would be wonderful, not "ownderful." I just think that nice guys truly do finish last in a many ways. The hope I enjoy putting on it is that maybe God is saving the best for last.

let's just say that that path is long and complicated.

You would rather be with a male that when challenged in a non-mocho way stand down (pacifist)against someone that challnges his beliefs, then someone that stand for up for God?

In a toubling situation you wouldn't want a warrior? Someone who stands for values and beliefs. Someone that when you look into his eyes you see confidence, boldness, strenght, a winner.

You dont seek a male.

Wow anonymous,
First let me congradulate you on being a so confident, bold, being a warrior, that you chose to stay anonymous.

If you call yourself a christian that means you are a follower of Christ, you know His teachings, He is your Rabbi. You might want to look into the teacings of the one we follow, it will open your eyes up a little more and maybe you will take a kittke difference stance. So read your Bible then come play with the big kids.

Shelby - I guess you missed the turn off to this girl's heart by the very act of inferring that the men in my family and the male spiritual leaders in my life are not men. To say that I'm hurt is an understatement, consider your words next time please.

Not so annonymous anymore...You and I should have a talk sometime Shelby, you might learn something valuable to take on with you in life.
