Laws of Attraction

I know you are all eagerly awaiting a blog on feminism or something like that, but all that went out the window when I was at the gym this morning - this video, reminded me of a word - cuckold, ah Chaucer how I do miss you and I guess in general your peers too. Now if an music video can reference Middle English then I am forever a devoted fan. It does not hurt that he just happens to be one of the singer/songwriter types.

Which parlayed itself into a discussion we have here on a fairly regular basis - attraction. Leaha jokes she does not like "white boys" because they all look the same, and I apparently a strong pull towards those singer/artistic types- put a guitar in front of yourself and you're likely to get a glance your way - it's something about talent - a talent I will never with my left handedness and tiny hands be able to master - which is why I failed at the piano - I just could not reach those keys. Regardless - bad memories.... do we really have types - or is it a list with no concept of what the person looks like? Or like Joel - does a certain feature catch your eye - red hair in his case? Blond hair? Tall? Petite? Athletic or is it another aspect - leadership, artistic talent or perhaps culinary abilities?

Two additional notes - Vegan in Vancouver has been updated and a male opinion on this subject would be wonderful

I am SUCH a sucker for guys who play an instrument... but preferably the guitar. But come to think of it... I think all drummers are hot.

Okay... seriously that guy in the video passes as "cute". But gosh, that guitar and voice just boosts his level of hotness. Who is he?

oops forgot to add that - Justin Nozuka - Canadian and the older brother of George - hip hop guy. He's coming to Vancouver next week.

hmmm... he looked like George.

so Leah or Leaha - any thoughts? Anyone other than the possible cuteness of Justin? And no not that one either.

well I went out with a drummer once and they are overrated !

I think why you said hit it for me Jenn...I kinda have a concept of something..u know..strong leadership, expressive, book lover..this person kinda looks like; taller then me, nice teeth, dark hair, darker person..aka coloured perhaps? but whenever I think about whomever this person may be I also think that i have no clue..someone can come along that totally blows me away and not fit any of the things I am normally attracted to and then what am I going to do.. say " nope, sorry, your a litt?!?

Someone who is genuinely kind, has an authentic and real passion for Jesus, a heart for the broken, and not high maintenance. And for all those "physical" characteristics, I just have to be attracted to the guy... Green eyes usually help.

I was going to just cut and copy what I had posted on MennoMeet but since I deleted that account - so I guess I should come up with something again - appearance is a funny one, I can't say that there is particularly anything - maybe not a big fan of long hair, but you know I've dated a Chinese guy, Filipino, German/15 years my senior too and European - so you know I don't think I have a type that way. So the general characteristics - Lover of Jesus, social justice minded/"missions", a lover of used bookstores and nature, willing to accept that I come across as high maintenance - even though I promise I'm not, and outgoing - someone to continually push me out of my shell.

last but not least willing to deal with my veganism
