Going Home Again, well sort of

It's actually my parents place - I've decided to take advantage of their laundry services, Internet (using my mom's laptop) and my baby (Max). I find it weird coming back to their place even though it hasn't been that long since I moved out, even weirder that I end up most times sleeping in an old hockey shirt of my brother's and in his old single bed - it's like I get the full family experience - parents in flesh and my brother in spirit - though it is a stinky spirit - don't much like the smell of boy.

Even weirder when my parents discuss K, in that I showed them the pictures Leah took and told them we went and saw Sheree Plett and well lo and behold K was the drummer (yes I went to the concert knowing that - but it's not like they needed to know that info). To which my mom says, your dad ran into K at the Red Cross and he mentioned he saw you at Tenth... now I wasn't going to say actually mom he probably didn't and only figured that out after I emailed him - but whatever - he still mentioned it to my dad...

Other than that - I'm going to try and have a good night sleep for once this week (yay for long weekends), if Max will let me and hopefully someone will occupy a dream or two - K or the really cute RCMP officer who came in for an eye exam today - he commented on my shoes - note to boys out there - commenting on a lady's shoes is a 50/50 gamble - one it is flattering but two it does make us look and you and wonder if you lean that way... you know.

There is nothing wrong with a guy noticing shoes. I don't "lean that way," and you know how much I like shoes. Bye the way my friend hae you noticed that you are boy crazy? Seriously.

well yes and no Shawn - the RCMP men are a bonus that anyone working in a service industry up here gets - they're cute to look at and that's about it - personality wise they are most definitely not what I'm looking for, nevermind me being a pacifist and trying to reconcile those two.

As to K, well I don't know what to say he's been around for so long, it just goes in waves I guess.

Am I boy crazy I don't think so I've got a million other things in my brain, but you don't want to hear about my grocery list, dirty bathroom that needs scrubbing, laundry, legs that should be shaved or my bratty cat - Max.

Maybe I do want to hear about those other things. Maybe those facets of your life are interesting. It's the small details that really show who a person is.

The shoes thing, yes it could steer the other way, or he may have a foot fetish. Hmm....

Being a bloke I have to admit I don't get the footwear fascination females seem to have.

My sister has her whole car full of shoes! (I often joke on whether these are her sick keepsakes after knocking people off!?)

Me, I just have four, one for summer (thongs), one for dressing out, one for sport, one for every other occassion. Simple really.

And yes, I agree, unless the shoes are exceptional then commenting on them is kinda weird.
