Saved By a Song

Sara asked on the way out of the Ray Lamontagne/Leona Naess concert which was my favorite song. My response was they all make me want to dance barefoot, with a drink in one hand and my eyes closed. Don't ask me why but Ray makes swagger/swaying/foot stomping/arm raising music. There is some kind of soul contained within it - it's angsty in the non-high school version, it's dark, it's raw, it's hopeful, it's beauty personified in song. Leona's words do the same - they actually reverberate deeper - there is something in her lyrics where I just want to yell Amen... well it's late and they do a better job at showing how you can be saved by a song:
